The Confession of Dr. Conti
OK, I made a deal with Mr. Koch to tell everything I know about wine fraud. You know, I think it’s going to feel good to get all this off my chest, to finally tell the truth. I’ve been thinking about it a lot in my prison cell, and I’m actually excited. I think it will be cathartic. OK, so here it goes, the whole truth, and nothing but the truth.
Finally, in his words, Rudy tells all, or does he? Continue reading at Tim Atkin MW! And don't forget to leave authentic comments there, and save the fakes for here.

The Hop Sing thing had me on the floor.. that stupid old western.. had an old girlfriend who thought Adam was really handsome.. told her that bald, ugly old guy on Trapper John MD was Adam now.. time waits for no one.. the CBC did this great show called the Canadian Conspiracy of a plan of Canucks to infiltrate America.. you need a green card to work in the States, Lorne Greene, Green Card, connection?? Then a straight faced Lorne Greene, saying there is no connection between Lorne Greene and a Green Card.. meanwhile his real name was some Jewish shoskowlitzsomething ...
Ron My Love,
Trust me, Rudy would have been just as shady had he been from Arkansas or Neverland, Ranch. Never trusted him for a second. Oh, and Hop Sing nearly made me wee. I love you!
David,
I can't resist stupid old references in my comedy. The jokes are basically for me, though I get a kick out of thinking about making others laugh at them, like you, while the rest Google the names.
Funny how Hop Sing seemed to trigger a lot of comments... People seize on the weirdest things.
My Gorgeous Samantha,
Yup, he was shady, but my point was that he was more believable to the rubes because he was an inscrutable Asian. I really don't think some white cracker could have pulled off the same scam.
Yeah, Hop Sing. Comic Bonanza relief. Seems to have worked here, too.
I love you, too!
Too bad he didn't sell them for counterfeit Bitcoins! That would approach 100 points.
Susan,
Perfect! Buying fake wines with fake money. But then which ones do you put in jail? All of them, I'd hope.
Ron.. don't have your email, just curious on what you think of all this oh what a comic genius Robin Williams was.. I found him insufferable.. there's even a Google and Facebook page of I hate Robin Williams.. I just don't get it.. wtf is so funny??
Yours..
David,
So much has been said about Robin Williams in the past week that my two cents aren't even worth that. As you know, comedy is a very harsh mistress, harsher on some more than others. I think I always viewed Robin Williams as something of a desperate comedian, as one of those guys who needs laughter to a degree that borders on compulsion. His suicide reminded me of my own self-loathing, made me reflect on the many days I spent as a young man wishing I were dead, wondering if anyone would like me if I didn't make them laugh. His death was a sad moment for me.
I'm no judge of comedy. Comedy is as personal as wine, a taste that can't be explained and doesn't need to be. Robin Williams was much admired, and was very successful. Even that wasn't enough, I guess. Well, it never is. I loved Jonathan Winters, and Robin Williams loved Jonathan Winters, but I could never be Jonathan Winters. Robin almost was, but in falling short, for me, he just wasn't interesting.
Robin may have been too manic for me to watch for long. Was he funny? He was a lot funnier than 50 successful comedians I could name. I suspect he would have had a field day riffing on the "I Hate Robin Williams" FaceBook page. If I had any sort of success, there would be an "I Hate the HoseMaster" page, and I'd be damned proud.
People often remark that suicide is a selfish act. It is, but it's also selfish to wish someone to stay alive so that he lightens your day with laughter at his own personal expense.
Ron, Just for the record, I've always loved you, laughter or not. Not assuming it makes any difference but I still wanted you to know that for all your young man questioning...the answer is yes. We still like and love you, if you are making us laugh or not. At least this awkward girl does....
